CO-PRESIDENT

Piyarat Siripoksup is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis. She joined BALSA in 2024 and completed two projects. In addition, she participated in a six-month inaugural Venture Fellow program organized by WashU's Office of Technology Management x BioGenerator Ventures. She has experience with primary and market research, competitor analysis, pricing strategy, regulatory path, and business development strategy, aligning key milestones with funding, due diligence, and pitch deck development.

CO-PRESIDENT

Yuang Song is a PhD candidate at Washington University in St. Louis studying biochemistry and immunology. He has completed three projects at BALSA and worked with Oracle Life Science through the BALSA-Oracle Life Science Associate Program. He has experience with primary/secondary research, technology assessment, competitor analysis, and business development strategy.

VICE PRESIDENT OF INTERNAL OPERATIONS

Amanda Titus is a PhD candidate in Biochemistry at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She joined BALSA in December 2023 and has worked on four projects. She has served as a project manager once and has experience in primary research, market and competitor analysis, business development strategy, and demographic analysis.

VICE PRESIDENT OF EXTERNAL OPERATIONS

Viktoriya Anokhina is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis. She joined BALSA in 2024 and has completed two projects so far. She has experience with primary and secondary research, technology assessment, market research, competitor analysis, and KOL interviews.

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Xiao Niu is a fourth year PhD candidate in Biology at Saint Louis University. She has joined BALSA in August 2023 and worked on five projects. She has served as a project manager once and has experience with primary research, technology assessment, market research, competitor analysis, and pricing strategies.

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

David Li is a PhD candidate in Plant and Microbial Biology at Washington University in St. Louis. He has joined BALSA in September of 2022 and completed seven projects so far. He also served as a project manager on two projects. He has experience with primary research, technology assessment, market research, competitor analysis, business development strategy, pricing and investment strategies development, and demographic analysis.

DIRECTOR OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Jian Ryou is a PhD candidate in the Human and Statistical Genetics program at Washington University in St. Louis. She has joined BALSA in 2023 and completed three projects. She has experience with technology assessment, market research, competitor analysis, and primary research.

DIRECTOR OF DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION

Richa Mishra is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Internal Medicine - Oncology at the School of Medicine, Washington University in St. Louis. She joined BALSA in December 2023 and completed more than two projects as a consultant. She also participated in the semi-finals of MHCC-2024. Richa has experience in primary research on market potential and market trends, competitor analysis, financial modeling, business development strategy, and investment strategy development. Looking forward, she will foster her contributions to continuing the connection between BALSA Foundation and BALSA Group, enhancing the mission of this collaboration.

DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Lauren is a PhD Candidate in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology program at Washington University in St. Louis. She joined BALSA in 2023 and has been a consultant on three projects. She has experience with primary research, including KOL interviews, market landscape analysis, and competitor analysis. She is currently an associate with Oracle Life Science through the BALSA-Oracle Life Science Associate Program.
